Nambe Handled 7-by-14-Inch Serving Tray

Fabulous gift

Bought this tray as a gift. This is a beautiful tray that I recommend to anybody who likes Nambe products. This is an expensive little tray but if you want to offer a special gift, this is a wonderful item. I checked with other Nambe products and Amazon prices are similar to other providers. I did not find any price cut for any Nambe products. Buying it at Amazon is easier for me than driving to the closest Mall so in a way it’s cheaper.

The Nambe box arrived well packaged and in perfect shape so I can offer the tray in its original box.

One of my most versatile serving trays

I’ve owned this serving tray for well over 10 years and this one gets used at almost every party or gathering. I love the elegant look of Nambé. It’s made of a proprietary eight-metal aluminum-based alloy which has a beautiful luster. It’s not as shiny as silver and not as dull as pewter. It’s not like stainless steel either. It’s just different than anything else I’ve come across. It does scratch fairly easily so I do take more care with it than with other pieces. But small scratches from everyday use end up creating a nice patina, much like an old gold ring might have. You can use a Nambe polishing kit Nambe 2 Ounce Polishing Kit or send it back to the factory for polishing, but I prefer the look it acquires after years of use. If it ever got badly scratched maybe I would try that.

Heirloom quality and a great presentation piece!

We received this platter as a Christmas gift a few years ago. While we only use it a few times a year, the presentation is always beautiful and it is always a conversation piece. The platter is very heavy and just feels like a high quality item. I fully expect that we’ll be passing this one down to our daughter when she is old enough.
