HARIO Hand-made Japanese Glass Teapot, 1-2cup

Image
cute teapot Not sure about the 2 cups this cute little teapot makes but I do like it. Because it is so small I have to be sure to properly balance it on the gas stove burner or I will have to wipe up the spilled water (this happened once). It does look nice though as I pour tea from it. Click to Editorial Reviews

Shogun Cast Iron Tea Set Black #TS3-06

Image
Beautiful tea pot and cups After seeing other tea pots in a local tea store at exhorbitant prices I searched on Amazon and found this set. I received it a few days ago and have used it several times since. It brews tea very well and stays hot quite a while. The size is just right for me and since this pot is rather heavy a larger pot would be difficult to handle. The design is quite unusual and distinctive, and the tea pot and matching cups go well with other Japanese art pieces and souvenirs in the room. I am very pleased with this purchase and especially the quality and price. Great Teapot!!!!! I bought this teapot for my mother and she loved it as soon as she saw it. The delivery was amazingly fast. I didn’t think my mom was going to get it for her birthday, since I ordered it so close to the date. But, I was very surprised and happy that she received the packed one her birthday. It’s perfect for tea and my mom is using it frecuently. It’s beatuiful and at such a great price. I s...

Joyce Chen 25-Ounce Japanese Tetsubin Cast-Iron Year of the Monkey Teapot, Green

Green Monkey Tea Pot: well-worth the $$$ This teapot pours perfectly and is aesthetically pleasing. It keeps tea warm for at least an hour. And, importantly, is crafted in Japan (not China) and therefore is likely to be safe. Joyce Chen 25 oz Tetsubin Great little teapot! Sturdy and rather beautiful, I gave it as a gift, and the recepient is very pleased and using it daily. Click to Editorial Reviews

Joyce Chen 18-Ounce Japanese Tetsubin Cast-Iron Dragonfly, Green

Image
Just right. After reading several reviews about Tetsubin pots, I decided to order this one. It came with a care leaflet. Very easy. The quality is excellent. The capacity size of 16-18 oz. is just right for several small cups and keeps the temperature. The pouring is perfect with no drips. The included insert reaches to the bottom and brews beautifully. Very happy I made this purchase. Click to Editorial Reviews

Joyce Chen 25-Ounce Japanese Tetsubin Cast-Iron Year of the Monkey Teapot, Green

Black Cast Iron Tea Set Dragonfly #ts4/07

Image
Good Rikyu set, excellent craftsmanship First off, quality and craftsmanship. This tea set purports to be functional; it is. It also purports to be beautiful; in the sense of Shibui (or Shibumi if you can grasp the concept), it is. By its very nature of being sold as such, it implies to be well made enough to support its function; in this it excels. If treated properly and not misused (do not heat these directly), it will last. This set makes roughly 20 ounces, which is a decent amount: 3 6oz cups of tea or 5 of the 4oz cups that come with it. For one or two people, this is perfect; tea takes minutes to brew. For larger parties, you will want a deeper 30oz set. Somehow I seem to have gotten … quite a bit in here, though. Which I’ll have to investigate. It comes with a basket infuser that fits inside the lip. This infuser lifts out after the tea is brewed. To make tea, first fill the tetsubin with hot (perhaps boiling) water and let sit for 2-3 minutes. Then empty and add some more hot...

Ceramic teapot, ‘Turtle’

Looks so nice in my kitchen I like this pot so much that I can’t get myself to use it. Maybe next year. I got a little note with it from the company thanking me. How sweet is that. Just love this little tea pot. Well made, good price. Should last a life time. Click to Editorial Reviews

Japanese Cast iron Tea Pot Cup Set Green Bamboo

MORE THAN I EXPECTED!!! I am a rookie in the tea world. But there’s nothing wrong with learning how to make and drink tea in one of many traditional ways. The tetsubin is small (descriptive measurements are accurate) but its more than enough for my girlfriend and I.It has very good craftmanship and solidity. If you follow the instructions on how to use it and clean it, it will last you a lifetime.DO NOT place over stovetop. You are supposed to heat the water separately. This makes the process longer but it forces you to take your time, relax, and drink a well made cup of tea. It’s not an hour long process either.Be careful with the cups, do not fill to the top when drinking the tea, they will get very hot and burn you.Hope this was helpful.DRINK TEA AND STAY HEALTHY! Beautiful I bought this for my mother. When I showed it to her and her friend, the first thing the friend said was, “Oh my god, that is beautiful”. It is a very sturdy/heavy teapot and the cups are strong too. Restaurant-qualit...

Royal Albert Old Country Roses Spring Bunny Teapot

Image
Great Gift My mother loves bunnies and she collects teapots. I went to search online for a teapot with may some rabbits on it for her birthday. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found this Bunny Teapot. I had it delivered to my house first so I could check it and wrap it before sending it to her (she lives on the other side of the country) and it is adorable. It is so cute and so detailed and the bunny had roses painted all over it. My mother loved it and put it on her highest shelf in her cabinet of teapots along with the matching creamer and sugar bowls that I also go for her. It’s a great gift for anyone who loves either bunnies, teapots or both! This Teapot will be the center of attention… This is such a beautifully made cute little teapot! People are just crazy about them when I bring them out!! And the matching creamer and sugar bowl are just as cute!! Royal Dolton also makes a darling kitten teapot with matching creamer and sugar bowl too! These pots are small, so they only h...

China Tea Pot

Image
Great LITTLE Tea Pot This is a really nice little tea pot for those that want to brew a small batch but prefer a separate pot and mug as opposed to the “Tea for One” sets. The stainless steel infuser is nicely finished with holes not too big and not too small. The infuser is also large enough to allow the leaves plenty of room for expansion during the steep. The handle is comfortable, the design pleasing and the spout doesn’t drip….what more could you want? At the price, it’s a steal. My only reservation is that it is small, only .5 liter, so make sure that when ordering you really want a small serving size. I do wish they made this design in a larger (32 oz.) size. One more thing. The manufacturer shipped the products quickly and they were packaged securely. 12/29/11 I’ve been going through a number of my older reviews and updating any that I thought needed it. This little pot is still a winner but I wanted to alert you that mine was purchased for less than $18… it is ok The materia...

Trudeau Bianca 34 Ounce Teapot, White Porcelain S/S

Image
Best Teapot EVER! Finally an engineered teapot! First, the shape is round, to hold heat. The ceramic also holds the heat and allows you to preheat the pot. The lid clearly shows open and “locked”. The lid is metal, so even if you do drop it on the floor, or sink, it won’t break. The lid even has a gasket so it fits snugly. The lid fits so well you can lift the teapot using just the lid! The spout is metal and never drips, NEVER. and the handle is comfortable and doesn’t get hot. At the bottom of all this is a built in trivit so you’ll never have to search for a pad or trivit when you put the pot down on a table. Cute teapot – for tea time (English) This teapot is really nice. I have been using it for several weeks, and discovered that I prefer this teapot over the standard type with porcelain covers. The teapot cover is mostly metal, so it does not break easily. The spout has a sharp metal edge (functionality of this piece is borderline unnecessary), so you have to be careful handli...

MIU France Stainless Steel Tea Serving Pot, Silver, 1-Liter

Image
Was good while it lasted This teapot was very good for the first year of its use. Now it has rusted where the solder joint is for the spout to connect to the base. It leaks tea out of the bottom of the spout now. We are really disappointed. Wish I’d found it sooner! I’ve been looking for a hotel style everyday use stainless steel teapot for months. This one is perfect. It has a very nice weight but easy to lift and carry one handed. Nice latch and an easy pour without drips. I recommend highly and will look for more in larger sizes from this manufacturer to have around for larger gatherings. I love it This teapot is a nice size and truly does not drip. It also keeps tea very hot. I just wish it had come with a tea infuser/strainer! Click to Editorial Reviews

Stainless Steel Teapot

Image
Best Tea Pot Ever This tea pot meets all my expectations and then some. It pours cleanly with not one drip. The infuser is all metal so there is no plastic to add a taste or to wear out. It keeps the tea perfectly hot with little or no cooldown for a good half hour or more. Add a tea cozy and it will be hot for you for hours, I bet. The lid fits tight enough so there is no fear of it falling out while you pour and yet is easy to remove when needed. The handle stays cool to the touch and is the perfect size and shape to feel secure while you hold it to pour. Best of all… it is a pleasingly shaped pot to look at and to hold. Excellent Tea Pot This is an excellent Tea Pot. My wife makes tea 4 or 5 times a day. This tea pot keeps the tea warm longer than any other pot she has used. We also love the way it looks. It reminds me of Sputnik (only older people will know what I am talking about). The only reason I failed to give it five stars is that after about 2 years (at least 1460 pots of...

Wedgwood Oberon Teapot

Image
lovely set Just bought this for my daughter for her wedding. It is beautiful with graceful lines, lovely but not overpowering print pieces and the lovely added value – it is dishwasher safe – which my antique china is not….hence her reason for wanting her own china Excellent Wedgewood has always produced one of the best bone china table settings ever. This was true to type, exquisite and well designed. Still a committed fan of this line. Very happy. Click to Editorial Reviews

Johnson Brothers Willow Blue Teapot

Image
Missing Specs in the description? I got suspicious when I noticed that other teapots have at least a capacity mentioned as to how many ounces of tea will they hold. So I called up Relacements,Ltd. (a dealer in Johnson Brothers china) to find out exactly what ARE the specs on this teapot. It’s 4 3/8″ high and it’s what they call a 5 cup teapot. A teacup has a capacity of 6 ounces, therefore this pot holds about 30 ounces of tea. I’ve ordered the 13 piece Willow tea set from them and am awaiting it’s arrival. These Johnson Brotheres china pieces have the ability to be freezer, dishwasher, and microwave safe; no such claims are mentioned by those other willow pattern pieces of china being sold on Amazon. Which could explain the HIGH rate of breakage among those pieces of china. I thought you fellow Amazon purchasers might like to know this. This is My Second One I bought this exact teapot from the discount store Marshall’s for $20. I had it for almost seven years and then it got bumped down...

Stainless Steel Teapot-6 cup

Image
Nice Contemporary Stye Teapot This teapot has great shape & style. It holds enough for several big mugs or numerous cups of tea and keeps the tea very warm for quite a while. Be careful though, the ball on top of the lid gets finger-burning hot. Use a hot pad or cloth if you want to remove the steeping basket or teabags. Also, when tipping the pot high to drain that last cup, there can be slight leakage from the rim of the lid, but most importantly, the lid stays tight – it doesn’t fall open. Overall, this is a really nice teapot. All my friends love it’s design It works for 6 big cups of tea and keeps tea warm for couple of hrs but not more. Whoever sees it admires the shape. Don’t use dishwasher to wash it. It can damage internal coating of kettle. tea pot isn’t fragile. I have been using this teapot for about a year now. It is a great little teapot. It is easy to clean and it has a mesh container for tea bags. Normally, I run it through the dishwasher about once a week as well....

Pfaltzgraff Pistoulet Teapot

Image
Perfect I absolutely adore my teapot. My kids know they’re not allowed to touch it and even tattle tale on their dad if he even gets close to it. It’s one of my prized possessions in the kitchen. I love tea and my kids were starting to want tea as well so I had to get something for all of us and this one holds enough to serve 8!. It’s also sturdy stoneware, not flimsy. And of course – gorgeous. Love our new teapot! My husband and I have been looking for a large, reasonably priced, easy to clean teapot for over a year with no luck. We were delighted to find this lovely teapot from Pfaltzgraff. It holds over 64 oz. of tea and the spout does not drip. It has a wide opening at the top which makes it easy to get your hand inside if you need to, and a wide opening at the base of the spout to make that area easy to clean as well. The colors are lovely and coordinate with a wide variety of patterns. We couldn’t be more pleased! Pretty Tea Pot Darling tea pot. Beautiful colors! Serves several ...

Chantal 48-Ounce Tea Steep, Red

Image
The best teapot EVER! Having never personally owned a teapot before, I am very impressed with this one. I pride myself on owning high-quality kitchen tools, and this is a fine addition to my collection. It is large enough to brew a 2-quart batch of iced tea and durable enough to stand up to some abuse. Perfect for a first foray into the world of tea, or even as a versatile piece to keep around for when you serve dessert or afternoon tea. What’s not noted in the product description are a few great features of this teapot, which, I think, make it well worth the money: 1) it has a LOCKING LID, which makes pouring effortless; 2) it comes with a STEEPER, made of the same coated stoneware as the pot, that locks inside the lid; and 3) it comes with a set of INSTRUCTIONS. Why would you need a set of instructions for a teapot? Well… I really don’t know, but I think it says a lot about the care that went into designing this model. Actually, they do give some helpful cleaning tips. The only nega...

Fiesta 36-Ounce Covered Teapot, Tangerine

Image
not understanding other reviews I’m a Fiesta collector and I use most everything I have daily. I also have a collection of fine china teapots eg: Wedgwood. What surprises me most is that the Fiesta teapot is getting a poor rating. Fiesta is ceramic. Other reviews here seem to suggest that they are putting this on the stove. Ceramic pieces are not to be used on a stovetop. Fiesta is oven and microwave safe but certainly not for the stovetop. I imagine it would be too hot in such a situation, I’m impressed that it didn’t shatter on a stovetop. Perhaps the best way to explain how it should be used, and why other reviewers are unhappy with it, is to compare it to a fine china teapot. A fine china teapot does not heat the water in any way. Water is boiled in a metal pot. The tea is put into the teapot and the boiling water is poured over it. Actually if the china is valuable the teapot would be warmed up in advance so that the contrast between cold/ room temp and boiling doesn’t crack the…...
