pleased with pomona! The dishes arrived and they are beautiful, just as expected. However, one of the plates was broken when it arrived. I just didn’t want the hassle of sending the whole set back to get a replacement for the broken one. I guess it’s just the risk you take when dishes are mailed, but I was very disappointed none the less. Gorgeous plates! I absolutely love this set of plates. I’ve been looking for salad/side plates with varying patterns for a long time, and I finally found that in this set. The fruit patterns are beautifully painted with great detail. The plates are also fairly lightweight, which is nice. But they also seem durable and well-made. I’ve had mine for about 5 months now, and the graphics have held up very well, showing absolutely no signs of wear, despite several times in the dishwasher. I definitely recommend these! Churchill salad/dessert plates These plates are the perfect size for the little ones at the table and makes them feel grown up as they have the same dishes as everyone else! Great buy The quality of these salad/dessert plates seems to be a bit inferior to the dinner plates that I bought from England, even though they are the same manufacturer, etc. I have no reservations about the price, though. A Great Addition This lovely set has been a series of Christmas presents for my daughter. I add pieces to it every year. She loves these pieces and they hold up very well in spite of a house full of teen-aged boys. Christmas elegance They are the perfect completion of my Christmas dishes. Beautiful Pattern! I fell in love with this pattern about 20 years ago, when my grandmother gave me 2 place settings. She continued to give me additional place settings as gifts over the years. Unfortunately, I’ve broken a few plates, so I ordered the 6 salad plates to supplement my collection. I ordered them on a Tuesday and received them on Friday using my free Super Saver Shipping. They arrived in perfect condition – lots of boxes and bubble wrap – and are just beautiful! I agree with others that they do fade after years of use, and I’ve had a few plates develop cracks, but again, this is after 15+ years of use. I never get sick of this pattern and would definitely recommend them. Oh – for some reason, the photograph only shows 4 plates, so I wasn’t sure if I would get 6 different patterns or if I would get 2 of the same pattern. Christmas Story China Excellent choice for a ‘fun’ dessert plate…for a luncheon or a dinner. Also is a great collectible item for gifts for children. I was a bit worried about ordering plates through Amazon after reading a lot of reviews about plates being chipped and broken due to cheap packaging. I decided to order a set anyway knowing I could always return them. Mine came without a hitch – all in one piece. The packaging from Portmeirion company is sturdy and their box is just put into an Amazon box with a couple of those air ‘pillow’ things but nothing broke. I was so pleased I went ahead and ordered dinner plates and the mugs too. All arrived whole. All have nice art work and have been a big hit around here. Nice to add to our Christmas collection. I love this dinnerware I own the 16 pc place setting and have added many of the accessories of this dinnerware over the years and love it. Timeless and classic in design and so much more formal looking than the tree design by Spode. I use this set everyday during the holiday season. The look is beautiful and festive but it is also durable and dishwasher safe. I need to add some cereal/soup bowls to my collection next. exactly what I wanted I was looking for small plates with this design but didn’t want to buy a whole place setting (which is what the dept stores had.) Versatile plate for breakfast, appetizers, or dessert. I have been using my Christmas Tree Spode for over 25 years and every year I love it as much as the first time I set my Dinner table with it. I use it starting the month of December for breakfast. Our five kids grew up with it and 3 of them are waiting for me to pass my set on to them. It is Classic, warm, traditional and of course reminds me of England and the old fashioned trees that you think about during Victorian Times. It’s fun to use the mugs for December Soup Parties! My 16 plates are all original and have held up well over the years. We have really used it quite a lot. This is an investment for the future. Love it! It’s beautiful This little dish is great! I bought it to hang on a soft blue wall in my guest room along with the Butterfly Meadow coasters. It is a really pretty little grouping. Love it! Disappointment The shipping was very poorly done and came in broken. Now I have the hassle to return and request a replacement.
