Nice, inexpensive cake cutting set We used this cake cutting set at our wedding. We considered the serving set one of the less important items at our wedding, so we wanted something that looked nice, but was relatively inexpensive. We ordered this set, and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the serving set. The metal is sturdy and looks attractive (not too shiny or too dull, a good brushed tone). This was something we weren’t planning on keeping after the wedding, but I kept it because it’s such a nice serving set! great solid set Cool contemporary design aside this is the best quality set I found anywhere and less espensive to boot. Affordable elegance I know most people are looking at this “Lenox Forevermore Silver-Plated 2-Piece Dessert Set” with a wedding in mind, but I actually got them for my wife as a Christmas present. She loves baking pies, and was wanted something pretty to serve her pies with. Our own wedding was very simple, without the big cake, so we didn’t wind up with the nice serving set that most couples have. I was impressed with the quality of this set. For the bargain price, I was anticipating something of a little less quality, maybe a light hollow with a thin silver plating. Instead I got a nice heavy serving set, with a lush mirror finish that looks beautiful and cleans up easily. I have seen some serving sets where the decoration gets in the way of the functionality, but fortunately that is not an issue here. One of My favorite Serving Pieces I had one for a number of years but I made the mistake of gifting some cupcakes in my Guzzini server to my niece who in return used it to share something with one of her friends. The Guzzini server never got back to me even after we tried tracking it down. It was a huge sense of loss for me so I googled to see if I could replace it. Someone else is enjoying what I lost. Beautiful, but smaller than I thought I purchased this item at a greatly reduced price due to a slight flaw on the blade. While the item is beautiful and functional, I am very glad I did not pay full price. I have purchased other Waterford products and have been dazzled by their elegance and beauty.
