Dansk Torun Stainless-Steel 3-Piece Hostess Set

Image
Amazon please update the picture I have the serving set, but the current photo is just a bigger picture of the Dansk Torun 5-piece dinner set Dansk Torun 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1 . What you get with the 3-piece Hostess set is a serving spoon, a two-prong (carving) fork, and a butter knife. The serving set is large. The spoon is huge, the fork is huge, but the butter knife is so small I think I have lost it somewhere in a black abyss I call a kitchen drawer. Every time I have guests and they view this 3-piece set, along with my dinner set, I get compliments. All the pieces are well balanced, and beautifully made. Exact Match These are exactly what my wife was looking for. They completed the set that she has been building! Thank you! Click to Editorial Reviews

Dansk Bistro Cafe Stainless-Steel Flatware 3-Piece Hostess Set

Just fine It’s as you’d expect. It matches the pattern and arrived in excellent condition. Each piece was in a protective plastic sleeve and in a Dansk box. Matches the flatware purchased 7 years ago I bought this to complete my 12 place settings purchased over 7 years ago. It matches perfectly and looks just as beautiful as the rest of the flatware. I use this everyday and wash in the dishwasher without any issues. Click to Editorial Reviews

Dansk Variation V 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1

A new generation of Variation V I’ve had Dansk Variation V for 35 years, including pieces manufactured in Denmark, Finland, Japan, Korea, and China. There are slight but real differences in the shapes of each utensil type (spoon, fork, etc) from country to country of manufacture. These latest sets are made in China; the polish is higher, and the molds are clearly different. If you have acquired this pattern in recent years you may not notice; if you have originals, you will. It’s a bit too soon to tell how well these pieces will “age” (stand up to the dishwasher, etc). Otherwise, they blend in with the older pieces except when lined up with like items (ie, spoons, forks, etc). For the price, these are a great value. Dansk Variation V flatware I ordered some individual pieces recently to add to my set which I have had since 1970. Actually, I only needed the teaspoons. Well, I returned the teaspoons and kept the rest. The forks are a different shape and the knives had spots after one wa...

Dansk Rondure 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1

Sculpture for the table setting. We bought some sets of these a couple of years ago, and we love them. We are both designers and appreciate quality and function as highly as form. These excel in all regards. Each piece is a tiny exquisite sculpture, and the quality is unwaveringly perfect. I can’t say why the other reviewer here got such lousy quality, but ours are flawless. Perhaps there are some crappy Chinese knock-offs being sold out there? Everyone who stops to appreciate them comments on how unique and beautiful they are. Our teenage son (who is in design school now too) says the forks are too narrow and the soup spoons to wide. I agree, but can live with these facts easily. If you are wanting to cram a load of chow in your mouth, then don’t use the forks, use a soup spoon! HA! Really, the slender forks are so graceful and usable that I love using them, and they slow us down a tad which can only be healthy! Just look at how every single surface is carefully designed and finished...
