Uber cute but problematic The serving set is cute, very cute and made in Japan. The quality is there. Unfortunately, the handles are uncomfortable and dig into your hands – they need to be longer! I am keeping the 2 sets that I bought as they are a great novelty items. Fishware Bought a new boat so started searching the internet for something to go along with a Sportfish. This is what I found. Caleca Bluemoon serving set I have bought Caleca bowls as gifts for my rather large family for the last 15 years. They are great–don’t stain–and a visual delight to any diner table. I use them as pasta bowls. Large enough to put all the pasta in and use a serving dish. Everyone I give them to loves them as well. Beautiful! And very large If you have a big dinner, than this serving plate would be perfect. Just note that it is really huge. I love the pattern and the shape of this line and am very pleased with the serving pieces. The plate is just a little bigger than I’d thought it would be. EXCELLENT CERAMICS WITH A HISTORY I have personally visited the Caleca ceramic manufacturing plant while stationed in Sicily with the military. These folks know their craft and are masters at it. Beautiful Flatware I have used this set for over 5 years, and it still retains a beautiful finish. I finally completed my set with this entertainment set, and I can see the difference in finish between brand new, and used daily for more than 5 years, but its not significant. The flatware is solid, and has a very nice weight. The pattern is simple, and will go with any tableware from solid and plain, to my great grandmothers bavarian china full of florals, scalloped and gold plated edges Its just a very decent set of flatware, and I’d probably buy a brand new complete set to use only for special occasions, of the same exact pattern before I’d buy silverware. Wow This set is so nice. I almost don’t believe I only paid $6! This was a major steal. It’s 18/10 stainless steel as apposed to the cheapo 18/0. Attractive and sturdy For my last birthday, my husband bought me new Oneida flatware from Target in this design: Stanhope 20-pc. Flatware Set . Unfortunately, Target did not not have the hostess set available, and because the Stanhope pattern has actually been discontinued, we couldn’t find the completer pieces anywhere. So, we decided to look for a pattern that would be complimentary rather than match exactly. That brought us to this Gingko Sanibel Surf design. We loved the look of the little swirls on the ends of each piece; they are meant to be shells, but we thought they would be a fun match for the spirals on our Stanhope flatware, so we ordered this set. Beautiful Serving Set I have the rest of this beautiful set and this was the icing on the proverbial cake. The cake server can actually hold a decent sized piece and is strong enough to cut through tough pie crust. They are well balanced and handsome. Very nice This serving set is very pretty. I got it as a supplement to a full set of place settings. This pattern isn’t the one of my place settings, but I ordered it because it looked pretty and complements my set. It arrived amazingly fast. I am very happy with it. Amazon please update the picture I have the serving set, but the current photo is just a bigger picture of the Dansk Torun 5-piece dinner set Dansk Torun 5-Piece Place Setting, Service for 1 . What you get with the 3-piece Hostess set is a serving spoon, a two-prong (carving) fork, and a butter knife. The serving set is large. The spoon is huge, the fork is huge, but the butter knife is so small I think I have lost it somewhere in a black abyss I call a kitchen drawer. Every time I have guests and they view this 3-piece set, along with my dinner set, I get compliments. All the pieces are well balanced, and beautifully made. Exotique Set Bought two of these sets, and the flatware a great addition to my dinnerware. Love them, would highly recommend to anyone who would to change their flatware.
