This is the decanter Antonio Citterio designed for iittala about a decade ago, along with a line of similarly minimal stemware and flatware It is simple, sturdy and elegant. There are multiple listings for it on amazon – this is the best price. The design is spare and modern. It easily holds a full 750 ml bottle in the base well below neck level. The base is broad and flat and you get plenty of exposure to air as a result. The neck is hefty and gives you a firm grip for decanting and pouring. For cleaning, I suggest you just rinse well after each use and from time to time use something like the “Bilbo” steel beads from Peugeot or similar method to give it a thorough internal cleaning to remove any staining, dry upside down on a drying stand and it will look good and last a long time.
