Elegant on my dining table The Lenox china I own did not offer a butter dish in its available pattern pieces. I have two Waterford Lismorewine carafes and this butter dish matches the carafes’ pattern perfectly. This butter dish is elegant and completes my table setting beautifully. Amazon price as compared to department stores was far superior. a nice addition to our home I know nothing about rating crystal, but I thought faceted crystal would have sharp corners between the facets like a diamond. I thought the glass would be thinner. Nonetheless, I really like it. This daily-use item looks great on our counter top and kitchen table. My criteria was a see-through top with a handle on the lid and nothing made of plastic. You’d think that would be easy to find- try searching for that. good quality Got this almost two years after we purchased the plates/bowls/etc. for this set. There is NO color difference, it came extremely well packaged, no damage at all. And it’s a huge bonus that it is dishwasher safe, just like the rest of the dinner set. Looks very nice sitting on our counter next to the matching sugar bowl. False Advertising Butter warmers are advertised as stainless steel but when they arrived, a quick inspection proved that all items were made of cheap steel that had a bad chrome plating job. Nothing was made from stainless steel that was included in the package. Package just arrived but do not expect the set to last past a couple of dishwashings before everything starts to rust. Very disappointed, would not reccomend to anyone. A must for a quality dinner! When having a lobster or crab dinner these are a must have. Easy to use and easy clean up. Supurb quality. Economical – great for a crowd If you don’t care about show, these industrial looking butter warmers are great. Great butter dish! First of all, to those fellow purple lovers out there, this is a gorgeous shade of purple! It’s the deep blue/red purple, not that new brownish raisin type that is prevalent. That said, this is a wonderful little butter dish. I’ve had mine for quite some time now and it’s taken quite a beating from a toddler and still looks new. The knob on top makes it especially nice and easy to use. The bottom is large and rounded so that the butter doesn’t fall off, but it’s still small enough to fit in the butter compartment of your fridge. This is a great product and very pleasing to view as well. I mix mine with my Longaberger dishes too and it fits in beautifully. Adorable Item arrived in a beautiful Royal box, packed perfectly and arrived in mint condition. It is absolutely beautiful with heavy gold on the lid top. The cover is round and will accommodate several butter pats/squares daintily arranged on the plate. This item can also be used to serve other items besides butter. Perfection+ Oh my! The first butter dish arrived broken (only took two days to get here). I called and absolutely no hassle only a most gracious apology and promise to get a new one out immediately. It was here in the day after… beautiful and fully intact! I was amazed and so thankful for amazon shopping. Love this butter dish! This butter dish is perfect for the fat butter sticks. I haven’t tried putting two sticks in it I buy the “Lurpak” butter or an Irish butter that I get at my local grocery, and this is perfect for it. I love the pattern and the ceramic is very high quality. Beautiful It took a while for Amazon to get better packaging for this product, but they did come through. It Works! Strange as it may seem, the Butter Pot actually works! You put two sticks, (eight ounces) of softened butter in the Cup/lid and a half inch of water in the base so that it will form a seal when you invert the lid over the base and it will keep your butter fresh and spreadable, without refrigeration, for three to four weeks. All you need to do is change the water every three or four days. I have another version of this device, but I prefer this one, simply because it holds twice as much, eight ounces instead of four. If you’re as fond of buttered toast as I am, and as aggravated by trying to soften hard butter in the microwave, you’ll really appreciate the Butter Pot. Makes butter the perfect consistency for spreading It is such a pleasure to enjoy the use of spreadable butter on a variety of foods again. The consistency of the butter in the Emile Henry Le Potier butter pot is always PERFECT! I expected it to be too soft, but it’s not. Just leave the pot on the counter and refresh the water twice a week. It’s simple! The opening is a little smaller than I would like, but I have no difficulty getting the butter out. I can get the majority of it out with a regular knife. When it is almost completely empty, I use a small spatula to get every last bit of the butter. I wash it in the dishwasher, but have also washed it by hand. It cleans easily if it is soaked in hot soapy water. What a perfect gift this would be for all of my low carb diet friends.
