Pasta bowls I love these bowls which can be used for soup ceral pasta or what ever they and thick, heavy, pretty and the size is terific. The William Morris edict If we are to “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” (pace William Morris), then these bowls belong, under one species or the other. And, for Emile Henry-philes like me, under both. The bowls won’t go with everything. Except for the blues and the brown, Emile Henry colors and heft demand to be set among similarly strong colors and heavy pieces. But they’re cheerful in every season and they won’t slide around as you chase down that last strand of spaghetti. Sturdiness is one of the qualities I admire most about Emile Henry pieces. Although I have other bowls and plates and serving pieces, these are the longest wearing. They accept rough treatment from the dishwasher and from being jostled around in the cupboards. I Got 2 Bowls First I want to say I got 2 bowls as given in the description. After reading a couple of reviews by people reviewing this item, not only the blue but other colors. Stating they only got one. Makes me wonder if they are reviewing the right item. Amazon does have a 1 quart pasta bowl, that is being sold as one piece only. This is the 3rd set of 2 I have ordered from Amazon and each case I received the 2 as given in description. These are great bowls, I could see using these as a vegetable serving bowl, a very large cereal bowl, a large individual salad bowl. These bowls will hold about 2 cups of food with room to spare. I have also ordered the quart bowl. For someone who is not partial to blue, I’ll have to say the blue in this bowl is striking. So I just ordered another set as I got these on sale. If Amazon reduces the price on the 1 quart in blue, I would order that also. Just a side bar, I had a male friend over one day and he saw the bowls, he was so impressed… love th...

Wonderful! I ordered these for my mother and they came in perfect condition. An earlier review scared me off a little originally, as they said the bowls showed up broken. I had no such problem, and the bowls themselves are beautiful and very useful – I use them for salads as well as pasta. Excellent bowls. I am very pleased with these bowls. They are perfect for all sorts of things that the teeny, weeny bowls that come with a service of this china are too small to accomplish (must be a European thing.) The bowls are a nice size for tossed salad, soup, stew or pasta (of course.) They are very pretty and arrived extremely well packed with not a scratch on them. Beautiful – Perfect I also stayed away from ordering this item due to the earlier review, but took the plunge when I read the second review. One of the Best This pasta bowl in turquoise is a stunning dish. I have the same dish in plum, but for some reason the turquoise color accentuates the concentric rings characteristic of Fiesta. It’s lovely enough to set it out as a centerpiece, not just use it for serving pasta. A lovely addition to my collection I finally added a set of 4 of these rim pasta bowls in Tangerine, and I love them. They are bigger then the dinner plate, and quite heavy. But perfect for pasta or any main course over rice. It’s a plate and bowl in one and I imagine will get lots of use. Christmas China I purchased this Lenox Holiday Tartan Gold banded soup bowl as a Christmas gift for a friend who is collecting this pattern. The price was the best I have found and I will probably order another one for her for her birthday. Shop harder The pattern is beautiful, but much better prices are available elsewhere. Picture doesn’t do this justice I bought this piece because I liked the design, even though I thought it would be small, however when it arrived it was about 2x what I expected. I made pasta the first night it arrived and it would hold more than what I made for 4. There was also the added bonus of receiving the story book, which also started great conversation. Definitely not the same boring meal time when you add whimsical pieces like these. Fantastic Pasta bowls and serving bowl I got this for my wife and she loves the pieces. Lenox soup bowl I was very happy to get my order in time to give as a Christmas present. It matches the set my reative has perfectly. It is a large bowl that can be used for individual soup serving, or perhaps as a small serving bowl on the table for vegtables, etc. lenox holiday rimmed soup Just as ordered and my wife is happy to finish 16 place settings (could we move christmas to every 2 or 3 years?). One arrived broken but was quickly replaced at no charge by Amazon – good customer service that helps bring you back. Did not meet needs! It ended not meeting my needs.
