West Bend 36-Cup Coffee Urn, Polished Aluminum

Image
My BIG coffee pot Our office needed a separate coffee pot for the “strong” coffee crowd. Although this coffee pot is not as big as one found at an AA meeting, it serves my department well. The rate of brew is one cup a minute and you DON’T need coffee filters. The only improvement would be an automatic shut-off to avoid a potential Chernobyl (if left unattended overnight). It is actually made in the USA and our Union company still supports the home team. GO WEST BEND!!! Great Coffee Pot and American Made This machine functions well. Simple, and does the job. We like it even more because it is made in the U.S.A. West Bend Coffee Urn This is a dependable standard product–no frills, just does the job. It’s easy to use, requires no paper filters. Have been using products like this for many years for group events. Makes good coffee. Click to Editorial Reviews

West Bend 43536 Aluminum 36-Cup Commercial Coffee Urn

Money well spent I bought one of these in Jan. 2008 and it has been in use everyday 24/7 except holidays. Where I work we have coffee on around the clock 24 hours a day seven days a week and the coffee urns that were purchased from the big box stores lasted two to three months. I highly recommend this product and just purchased another one to keep in reserve for when the first finally dies. West Bend always is tops! After several years of trying various coffee urns at my church, I decided to purchase the West Bend commercial units. I should have done that years ago! Just like back in my Navy days, West Bend coffee urns are built to last. So far, the church is very pleased with the new coffee urns and the coffee they brew. Great Coffee Makes great coffee at about a cup a minute. This is faster than our last pot and about the average for most others. Click to Editorial Reviews

Hamilton Beach 40515 42-Cup Coffee Urn, Silver

Not Buying this Product Anymore I have owned several Hamilton Beach Coffee Urns in the past 20 years and I’m a pretty heavy duty user. I’ve preferred them in the past because of all the brands I’ve ever owned, they keep the water the hottest. They don’t last the longest (the spigot usually develops a leak), but that’s the trade-off considering the price. My current objection has to do with the plastic cover on top, and it’s become a real health hazard. The cover on mine started to disintegrate into tiny black pieces that fell into the water. If you’re making coffee, you won’t even notice it at first (I only noticed it because I use my urn to brew large quantities of plain hot water). Great for large families – where 1 coffee maker doesn’t fill the need We have a large (extended) family living in one household and we go through 4-5 pots of coffee in a day. This urn is an inexpensive way for us to meet the demands of all the coffee drinkers here. And everyone likes the coffee it makes. ...

West Bend 58002 12-42 Cup Automatic Party Perk Coffee Urn

Makes Great Coffee I am pretty particular about coffee. I like to gind my own beans and have never used a perc coffee pot in the past. But we were having a huge family gathering and I needed a lot of coffee. I ordered this Party Perk machine and when it came in I almost returned it because it seemed so flimsy, but I figured I’d give it a chance. I’m glad I did. All the information I read on the Internet about coffee said that perc’d coffee is not very good because the water is boiled and constantly recirculated through the grounds and this does not equate to how to achieve the best tasting coffee. Well, while this was not the BEST coffee I have ever had, the coffee was none-the-less very good. I used Berkley and Jensen ground coffee (available at BJ’s Wholesale club)and I could not have been more pleased with the results from this Party Perk. I used a little more than 2-1/2 cups of ground coffee for the full 42 cups and the information I read about expecting the pot… Hamilton Beach 42...
