Goes with everything This is a beautiful bowl and a favorite gift to give. Hot foods stay hot (it is oven safe) cold foods stay cold. It is unbreakable and looks just as good with formal china as it does with Superbowl snacks. I think it is the perfect size for veggies. WARNING–it is not dishwasher safe. A chemical reaction can cause it to look purple rather like motor oil on water. So buy it, use it for everything, but handwash it. I love Wilton arame tale I have been collecting Wilton army tale for a about 10 years. It is versatile-can go from hot to cold without problems. It is a pretty serving dish. It cleans up easily! Elegant Armetale I have owned Armetale for over 30 years. Instead of buying traditional china when I married, I chose something that would last. I actually purchased this piece to give to my friend for her birthday. It was absolutely beautiful and I had a hard time parting with it. a well-made classic design and just the right size These are absolutely the perfect size & shape to use with my Gien plates. The “Queen Anne” is a classic, timeless design that is at home with both Early American tableware and French tableware. They also look great with Italian pewter flatware. Here are a few of the French patterns that are perfect with these chargers: Filets Bleus, Filets Taupes, & Oiseaux de Paradis by Gien; Tulipe by Longchamp; many pieces by H.B. Henriot Quimper & F.A.B. Quimper. BTW, I purchased these to replace the large QA chargers I bought and had to return. They were very deep — more like a pasta dish than a charger (which is usually rather flat). The small QA chargers aren’t very flat either, but they are a good fit for most dinner plates. Love this tray I owned a tray exactly like this one for a few years and used it all the time. Unfortunately someone placed it in the dishwasher and destroyed the finish so I ordered a new one. It’s beautiful, you can heat and serve things on it but just make sure you wash by hand and it will stay beautiful Perfect plate Perfect for serving hot food from the grill! The price was right too! Perfect for Roasting If you’ve never used a Well & Tree Platter, you are wise to read the reviews. It is very different from a other baking or roasting dishes. The well is an oval indentation in the platter that collects juices and fats that drain from the meat you are roasting on it. The tree carries those juices from beneath the meat to the well. The juices in the well can be used to rebaste the roast. I guess this platter is similar in design to a George Forman grill. It keeps your meat from just resting in fatty juices, by carrying them away to another part of the platter. This is also an attractive enough platter to use to serve as well – or you can have a fancier Well & Tree Platter for that. I use this pan to: roast chickens; bake meatloaf; reheat pizza slices; cook steaks, chicken breasts, or burgers under the oven broiler; and carry out other random tasks when other platters are in the dishwasher. My grandmother had a Well & Tree Platter and my mother now uses it....

curved bottom -not made in usa anymore I bought two W.A beer mugs as gifts, as this company used to provide superior products. One was shipped direct and i didnt get to inspect it but the recipient said was fine–the other, the bottom was not flat and the mug rocks. I offered to send it back because as much as you pay for these they should be perfect, but the recipient elected to keep it. You can tell they arent made in Pennsylvania anymore. Sad the quality of everything suffers when you try to do it on the cheap. Keeps beverages cold These mugs do what they are supposed to. I keep two in the freezer and use them for beverages which I like very chilled. They appear small when you take them out of the box but they do actually hold 14 ounces of beverages. Great Tray This was a gift to me and I used it for a Roast. I warmed the platter first and it stayed warm a long time. This product reminds me of the Pampered chef stoneware that I love to bake with but this is much prettier than the stoneware and it’s easier to keep clean. I”m trying to add to my collection after receiving 2 items for gifts… MADE IN CHINA I have just bought two for wedding gifts. I have owned a similar one for years and have loved it. I opened the box to inspect them before gift wrapping and did not like the way they looked. I brought my own to compare and was blown away by the difference. The new one is much lighter, has less metal in it, the metal looks and feels cheap and the quality of the workmanship is far inferior in the new one. The workmanship is so bad. I would be embarrassed to gift this one. God knows if it is even safe for serving food. The sticker on it says it is made in China. My old one was made in the USA. Pitting of surface Although I carefully follow the directions for cleaning this product, I find that the finish is getting small surface pits. I have written to Armetale about this problem but have not as yet heard from them, A beautiful salad set I got this for my mother in law for Christmas and she loves it. Armetale pieces are both beautiful and durable. She will be able to use it for many years. Disappointing The set arrived poorly packaged. Magnificent….best kept secrect in the kitchen I had never heard of Wilton Armetale dinnerware before getting this set for our wedding. Even though my wife picked it out, I think I am the bigger fan. It is simply stunning. AND it is even more useful than it is a pleasure to look at. The set could easily be on display in the Smithsoian as an 1800s or 1700s example of dinnerware. That is how classic it looks. But it works even better. The panthlet that comes with it says something very important. These products are made for everyday use no matter how good they look. They can take it. And they can take it. Because of the metal properties the bowl is perfect for serving. Stick it in the freezer or fridge before serving a salad or cold dish and it will keep it cool. Run hot water over it and it will keep warm dishes warm. The serving spoon and fork are as detailed and elegant as the bowl. Hopefully if you got to this review you will take a chance on this or another Wilton Armetale product. ...

A mother’s dream come true If you want elegant dishes that you kids can’t break, then this stuff is for you. I started collecting Armetale when I got sick of plastic dishes or broken ceramics. I would describe this stuff as being very nearly bombproof. It won’t break or dent when you drop it but it will break or dent your foot when you drop it on it. It can take extremes of temperature and you can use it on the stove or in the oven. I do not recommend pieces that have black or other colored antiquing or highlighting on the stove top as this can damage the paint. Be careful of hot pieces! They stay hot for a long time and you can still get scorched off of a larger piece even after the food it contained has been eaten. I find the casseroles wonderful for cooking food in for potlucks. My food is still hot when I get to church. I cook in this stuff but I mostly serve in it. It will lose it’s mirror finish with use -it mellows to a more pewter-like finish and picks up little scratches but ...

Disappointed that made in china I have had one of these pieces for eight years. It’s durable, great to serve from and wonderful used hot and cold. In addition, I was proud because the one I have was made in the USA. I just bought a new one for a friend and on the amazon.com product description, it states Made in USA, which was an incentive to buy it. However, it arrived today and states Made in China. Very disappointed about that misinformation. Hope it lasts like my other one. Very Pleased! I have used Wilton for years and have several sizes…the medium square tray works well with my other pieces. I have used it to serve hot and cold foods. It can come straight from the oven for meats or the fridge displaying cold veggies for parties. Hot or cold Wilton can’t be beat. Nice Platter I love the serving tray but it is a little smaller than I expected. Once you consider the large decorative edging around the edge of the tray the usable space is pretty limited. A Great Find!! These plates will thaw meat, fish or anything. If you have something cooked it will keep it hot for a long time. The plate absorbs either the cold or the heat of whatever you put on it. When you buy it put an ice cube on it and watch it instantly start to melt. Its wierd and great.
