They are very elegant and they actually do work! I purchased the duo finish and it is beautiful. They have the look and feel of very expensive flatware, yet they are surprisingly affordable. This will protect you Carving forks can be every bit as dangerous as carving knives as anyone who works in Accident & Emergency will tell you. This carving fork has a feature that I think they all should have – a flip-up guard so that if the knife slips whilst cutting meat, it is deflected OVER your hand, not INTO it. It’s sturdy and easy to hold. Because the guard will flip down again, it will still easily fit in the dishwasher cutlery rack. gone fishing forks These forks are 5 1/2 inches long and the tines measure 3/4″ across. While they are disappointingly too broad in the tines to really be good for plucking out crab meat from a claw, they are sturdy, seem to be good quality stainless and outstanding in style and all around appeal.
