Solar Automatic Charger I purchased one of these chargers about two years ago, and am very happy with it. The “engine start” is great when trying to start charging some of the more modern batteries that are almost fully discharged – turn on the engine start, wait for the charging current to reach about 4-5 amps, then switch to automatic mode. When the battery’s charged, the green LED will turn on and the contactor in the charger turns off (a load click is heard); if the voltage falls, the contactor’s turned on, the LED turns off, and charging resumes. Makes a Decent Cup of Turkish Coffee This ibrik is easy to use, easy to clean (just rinse), and it makes a decent cup of Turkish coffee. Although this is a “double” ibrik, I think it refers to demitasse cups (which hold only a few ounces). It will actually yield only one serving in a standard 8-12 oz. coffee mug. I did remember seeing these in a store a couple years back, and they did feel really good in the hand, though. Very low quality–Typical Chinese Junk It’s sad. There was a time when Oneida meant quality. Those days are gone–now Oneida is just a nameplate, and its products are manufactured in generic, no name factories in China just like the X brand junk you can get at any budget store. This set is low quality. The pieces are made from very heavy steel. Why? Because the steel they use is 18/0 stainless, the lowest quality stainless you can get. They have to make the pieces thick or they’ll bend. Compare that to my 10 year old Oneida set, made from 18/8 stainless. They’re thin and light as a feather because it’s high quality steel. Also, they include an insert in the packaging to tell you not to use these with acidic foods and that they must be washed right away to prevent damage. Why? Because low quality 18/0 stainless will be etched by food, but higher quality stainless (18/8) will not. In other words, don’t fall for the hype. If it’s cheap junk you want, buy a cheap junk brand and pay a cheap…

Beautiful tea pot and cups After seeing other tea pots in a local tea store at exhorbitant prices I searched on Amazon and found this set. I received it a few days ago and have used it several times since. It brews tea very well and stays hot quite a while. The size is just right for me and since this pot is rather heavy a larger pot would be difficult to handle. The design is quite unusual and distinctive, and the tea pot and matching cups go well with other Japanese art pieces and souvenirs in the room. Beautiful Stainless My daughter and son in law chose this silverware for their “good” silver. The cross-hatch pattern at the base matches wonderfully with the china by the same name. Sterling seems to be “out”; at least our Macy’s said they don’t carry sterling anymore. This is a nice and much less expensive alternative, heavy in weight and makes a beautiful table setting. Lightweight and Durable The Snow Peak Titanium Single 600 Wall Cup is an excellent choice for those ultra-light backpackers who like to count ounces and shave weight wherever possible. This lightweight cup is made from Titanium and only weighs a mere 2.8 ounces/80 grams. Yet, it is exceptionally strong and durable. I typically use this cup to heat water on backpacking trips for Mountain House freeze dried meals. I use the MSR Pocket Rocket Stove . Ugly photo, great decanter at a great price This is the decanter Antonio Citterio designed for iittala about a decade ago, along with a line of similarly minimal stemware and flatware It is simple, sturdy and elegant. There are multiple listings for it on amazon – this is the best price. Look at the other listings for far more attractive pictures of this item, then come back here to buy and save some scratch (with free prime shipping no less). The design is spare and modern. It easily holds a full 750 ml bottle in the base well below neck level. The base is broad and flat and you get plenty of exposure to air as a result. The neck is hefty and gives you a firm grip for decanting and pouring. For cleaning, I suggest you just rinse well after each use and from time to time use something like the “Bilbo” steel beads from Peugeot or similar method to give it a thorough internal cleaning to remove any staining, dry upside down on a drying stand and it will look good and last a long time. The Best I have two china sets, but I needed something for every day, and I needed something for a big holiday. This is the best set out there after doing all my research. This ultra strong china, can be put in a warmer draw, microwave, dishwasher etc. You can use it for holidays and it goes with everything. I have service for 16 and use it for all my big holidays. It is versatile, and looks beautiful. Just great! I bought 2 sets of this and am using them everyday. They didn’t look as pretty as I expected at first,and I couldn’t be so sure if it was a good buy considering the price. But the set definitely gives a warm & comfotable feeling. They are so durable that last week,I accidently banged one of the mug to the corner of my kitchen counter tile so hard but it didn’t break nor crecked. I love them… only one little problem I loved my Italian Countryside set when it arrived, the neutral color without being totally plain was exactly what I wanted, having gotten tired of blue stoneware that clashed dreadfully at the holidays. I unpacked them and washed them and got ready to put them away… and HELLO… the dinner plate won’t fit in my older style 12″ upper cabinet!! I was standing in the kitchen ready to cry because I thought I was going to have to send them back until my handy husband was able to rout out the back of the cabinet door enough to let them fit. This flatware looks as presented in the current photo however if you turn it sideways you would see there is no back to it — if you turn in over completely you will see that it is concave. It is very lightweight and small in size – it is very small for an adult male. It is a facade of nice looking silverware. I suggest that a side/back view of flatware should be a standard. Beautiful, Durable, and Elegant I’ve used Lenox Montclair fine china since 1964 and have found it to be beautiful, durable, and elegant. My guests have always commented on how lovely and elegant this pattern is. The simplicity of the design complements any decor. I’ve machine-washed the dishes with no ill effects although I’ve recently learned that hand-washing is best because the chemicals in dishwasher detergent may harm the platinum rims. Love the china I’ve sently purchased 3 boxes of the Loft china. I love it, it’s a good classic design. But beware that the bigger plates might not fit your dishwasher or your cubords. It didn’t fit our normal cuboards in our case. Luckly we could free up some space in our corner cabinet. But when you’re having a dinner for a few people I’m sure you’d prefer if they fit in the dishwasher. So measure first, and maybe consider buying the pieces separatly so that you can choose a smaller since on the dinner plates. These plates are gorgeous I love these plates. Sturdy for the most part I actually have an extensive collection of moderno dinnerware (dessert plates, salad plates, dinner plates, soup bowls, and cereal bowls). I’ve owned moderno for almost 4 years now, and many machine washes later, they’re still looking good. Two of the plate have small chips on the side, but not a big deal to me. Keep in mind that you MIGHT see small scratches if you cut a lot of food on your plate (that’s typical of most dinnerware though). Scratches might be more apparent since it’s see-through glass. Great Flatware! I purchased this flatware for my college bond daughter. It was significantly less because it was a repackaged set. This flatware is 18/10 stainless steel and has a nice weight. If the package wasn’t damaged, I would say this flatware is wedding gift quality! Husband wanted “medieval weight” and we got it Hubby was tired of cheap daily silverware that was thin, bent, etc. His criteria were that it be fairly plain and classic looking, but “heavy enough that the knights of the round table could have used it.” Also, he wanted spoons that wouldn’t bend when you scooped hard ice cream, a pretty tall order. This stuff is definitely heavy–to us, that’s a plus, but I’m telling you, it’s REALLY heavy. WOW… Its the only word I can utter right now…just WOW. This is the best choping block I’ve ever owned. Notice I didn’t call this a board, as the brawny thickness of this product with the substantial feet(with rubber bottoms to prevent slipping) brings this up quite a few notches from mere ordinary cutting boards. This is a chopping block to end all chopping blocks. I can only compare this to butcherblock, but made from Green, eco friendly, self renewable bamboo. You’re doing the environment a favor by going with bamboo over synthetic boards/mats, and even over traditional wood such as red maple. I love red maple, don’t get me wrong. Finally, a great flatware chest! Whew! I finally found a suitable flatware chest! After a couple failed attempts at chests that claimed they’d fit at least 16 place settings and extra serving pieces required, I am happy to say the search is over! If you’re still searching for a flatware chest, you know how hard it is to find one that happens to fit that magic number of place settings and all the serving pieces you have in your collection. There are 3 Reed & Barton chests of this sort. I ordered the “Arlington” because it was slightly larger than I needed (16 place settings and lots of serving pieces), and I’m glad I did. Disappointed! My daughter had an original Belleek Shamrock Mint Tray from Ireland. The procelain was almost see through in its texture. Unfortunately I broke her tray moving something in her china cabinet and I wanted to replace it. It was not the original quality….the material was thicker and not up to the Belleek standards. Great, except for scratches. These are well-designed, durable dishes, but the darker colors do tend to show scratches. When stacked, the rough bottom of one plate can scratch the plate beneath it. This is a problem with the newer style Fiesta more than the "vintage" Fiesta which had more glaze on the bottom, and a problem with new dishes more than those which have been through the wash many times. When stacking these dishes in the cupboard, especially when they are brand new, you might want to put coffee filters between the plates to minimize scratching.
