Portmeirion Botanic Garden Salad Plates 8-1/2-Inch, Set of 6

Beautiful Pattern!

I fell in love with this pattern about 20 years ago, when my grandmother gave me 2 place settings. She continued to give me additional place settings as gifts over the years. Unfortunately, I’ve broken a few plates, so I ordered the 6 salad plates to supplement my collection. I ordered them on a Tuesday and received them on Friday using my free Super Saver Shipping. They arrived in perfect condition – lots of boxes and bubble wrap – and are just beautiful! I agree with others that they do fade after years of use, and I’ve had a few plates develop cracks, but again, this is after 15+ years of use. I never get sick of this pattern and would definitely recommend them. Oh – for some reason, the photograph only shows 4 plates, so I wasn’t sure if I would get 6 different patterns or if I would get 2 of the same pattern. You receive 6 different patterns – they’re all beautiful.

Great dinnerware!!

I saw this dinnerware at a friends home and had to get a set. It is very sophisticated, but study and works great as an everyday set. The condition and quality are first rate. These are made in Britain (not like some I’ve read reviews, which say they can come from China. These plates have some heft to them, too!! The price was very competitive. Bon appetit!!

We bought our first PMB plates and dishes 15+ years ago, and they’ve been beautiful and durable and quite sturdy (other than dropping them on stone or tile floors . But after 10 years of daily use, the decorations do fade, and so we replaced them. PMB are not inexpensive, but for the value they are actually quite reasonably priced.
