The best teapot EVER! Having never personally owned a teapot before, I am very impressed with this one. I pride myself on owning high-quality kitchen tools, and this is a fine addition to my collection. It is large enough to brew a 2-quart batch of iced tea and durable enough to stand up to some abuse. Perfect for a first foray into the world of tea, or even as a versatile piece to keep around for when you serve dessert or afternoon tea. What’s not noted in the product description are a few great features of this teapot, which, I think, make it well worth the money: 1) it has a LOCKING LID, which makes pouring effortless; 2) it comes with a STEEPER, made of the same coated stoneware as the pot, that locks inside the lid; and 3) it comes with a set of INSTRUCTIONS. Multi Purpose I looked in vain for rimmed soup bowls in this pattern, so I bought these. When I first unpacked these bowls I thought holy mackerel, these are way too big for a place setting. But it actually is going to work out fine. The rimmed soup bowls in my everyday set of dishes hold 12 ounces to the inside edge of the rim. This is a generous serving, and probably standard. These bowls hold just under 4 cups (32 oz or 1 qt – filled to overflowing) and I figured they had to be returned. But after measuring 12 ounces into the bowl, it turns out that the liquid level reaches about 1/4 inch under the writing of the CCMoore verse painted on the bowl. It actually looks quite nice at that level. Additionally I will end up using these as salad bowls, because I serve the salad naked, and folks then add whatever dressing they choose, and the extra room in the bowl gives some leeway for giving your individual salad a little stir. Smores plates I am very pleased with the plates. I bought them to use in a display rack. Not As Well Made As You Think We ordered a set of these thinking it was a bargain. However after just a week, the stainless coating on the knives is starting to come off and the knives vibrate if you tap them against the side of your hand. Also, these are not made in the Japan as you might think. They are made in China where the quality of stainless steel is poor! My advice to anyone that bought these is to send them back now while you still can. If you are contemplating buying this product don’t! Yamazaki makes great flatware, but this line is not one of them. Excellent Flatware Just Right – Buy it you will love it This Flatware is way above average. It is nice and heavy. This beautiful pattern and quality of tableware make this a good product! I bought two sets of the Pfaltzgraff Flower Garden Dinnerware Set so that I could have service for 8. Now, I wish I had bought one more set. When I purchased the sets last month they were selling for $24.99 Service for 4. They then went up to $49.99 and now at this date it is $59.99. So, I am hoping that it goes back down and I will buy another set. I also checked other stores for this. The price is the best here at Amazon. Wal Mart had it for $59.99 and when I asked the manager for Kitchen & Household Department I was told that they don’t go on sale. I have already gotten compliments on the style. They are microwaveable & dishwasher safe. They are heavy not lightweight. They don’t break that easily. Proof was when my boyfriend dropped one of the plates on the floor.
